Why Professional Portraits? 

It’s true, just about everyone has a decent camera in their pocket these days; cell phone cameras have improved exponentially over the last several years. And, for your everyday photos, they are perfect.  

But, photography isn’t only about the camera; it’s also the right lighting, highlights and shadows, backgrounds, staging, clothing and posing, harmony, editing, quality products, etc.  There are times when having a professional photograph are ideal.

Do it for the kids. A study conducted by Jerry Fryrear of Tulane University and Mary Ammerman with Murfreesboro City Schools was conducted on photography, children, and self-esteem. The results of this study showed a 37% increase in the self-esteem related behaviors of the young students who participated.  That self-esteem boost comes from seeing themselves up on the wall of their home, surrounded by their family. That image on the wall is a constant in their life, showing their place in the family and allowing them to grow up with a sense of belonging.
